Forum: etree Subject: artist url's are case sensitive?

Hey guys,

any reason why they are case sensitive?

typing in either of these works:
http://www.archive.org/details/Charm
www.archive.org/details/Charm
archive.org/details/Charm

but anything with a lower case "c" doesn't?
http://www.archive.org/details/charm
www.archive.org/details/charm
archive.org/details/charm

i never knew url's could be case sensitive? any particular reason why it's been set this way, and is there any way to have both versions of the address work? ie. either turn off this "feature" for certain pages, or have the lower case versions redirect to the correct pages?

Yes, they are case sensitive, due to running on Unix machines. If you'd like us to switch your band collection to all lowercase, we can do that, but it's not possible to do both.
